Context and objectives
To set up a general procedure for to use satellite images for the ecological specification of landscape units
Project outcome
Expected scientific results
The procedure has been validated for two secondary European watersheds. The experiment can be suggested as an example for a general method of landscape ecological mapping. A strategic scenario is proposed in which steps for further research objectives are described, in order to take full advantage of satellite images at the European extent.
